85 schools conducted a ballot yesterday to decide who would be given a spot in their school for those who applied under Phase 2C of the Primary 1 Registration Exercise. Phase 2C is for those without familial connections – such as a sibling or a parent who is an alumnus – with the school.

Are "exam smart" workshops that cost thousands of dollars effective?

Before we start, we want to let you know that Education Cube is in no way affiliated to any organisations or individuals offering similar one-off workshops or programmes that promises to motivate, help your child overcome exam anxiety / low self esteem / laziness, and improve their exam grades.
The aim of this survey is to help parents, and educators make better informed choice on the effectiveness and value of these workshops, and find out if there are tangible results to be gained from the attendance of such events.
